I have been a yogi for almost 10 years now.

Actually I tend to believe that I was born a yogi :) I have always yearned to connect deeper to myself and find blissful moments in life; that is what yoga is really about - isn’t it?

Yoga to me has been a journey of self-discovery and growth. While practicing I am able to learn how to challenge my body, connect to my breath and invite my spirit to shine through.

All styles of yoga, if practiced authentically, have the same purpose, which is to take us on a path towards enlightenment - oneness and unity with divine consciousness. What that means to me is basically reaching a space of elevation, the highest version of one’s self and complete connection to spirit.

Kundalini Yoga gave me a sense of this experience almost instantaneously.

I remember my first class very well, I got a chance to move my body dynamically and feel the energy travel through my whole system. I felt like I had tools within me to go deeper and deeper, but was never aware on how to use them.

I was able to travel miles within and tap into a space I had completely ignored for years. I realised that I had completely forgotten that I am pure spirit and was living my life with a sense of urgent physical rush to just achieve milestones.

Kundalini Yoga allowed me to awaken my physical potential, cut through mental barriers, expand my breath and connect to its magic. I suddenly became aware of all my limitations in life and completely trusted that I could achieve anything I put my heart and mind into.

I started living more consciously, changed what I eat, who I spend my time what I focus and in a way, even my voice changed.

Everything in my life started to align to lead me here. To lead me into making decisions that serve my higher self.

For the first time ever, I understood God. Actually, I felt God.

I felt how we are all connected to a universal energy field, in which our potential can expand beyond knowing.

Here is one of my favourite teachings from the Kundalini Yoga technology:

The Five Sutras of the Aquarian Age

1. Recognize that the other person is you.

2. There is a way through every block.

3. When the time is on you, start, and the pressure will be off.

4.  Understand through compassion or you will misunderstand the times.

5. Vibrate the Cosmos. The Cosmos shall clear the path.
